SMITHERS, B.C. – Smithers is set to host a fun-filled Canada Day celebration at Bovill Square tomorrow, July 1, complete with free food, live music, and a foam party to cap off the afternoon.
The main event runs from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Bovill Square in the heart of downtown Smithers.
Residents are invited to enjoy a wide range of free, family-friendly activities, including:
- Free Poutine provided by the Rotary Club of Smithers.
- Free Ice Cream and other Canada Day swag giveaways.
- Live Music performances throughout the afternoon.
- A Kids Zone with games and face painting.
- A Foam and Dance Party to end the celebration, starting at 3:00 p.m.
For those looking to start their day earlier, the Bulkley Valley Museum is hosting a Smithers History Walk, which departs from the Train Station at 10:00 a.m.
