Kxeen (Prince Rupert), BC – June 3, 2025 – The Ts’msyen Culture Society is extending an open invitation to the community to join in the planning, preparations, and celebrations for National Indigenous Peoples Day, scheduled for June 21, 2025. The Society is calling on local vendors, community organizations, traditional dance groups, volunteers, businesses, and service providers to share their skills and contribute to this significant event.

The celebrations, aiming to honor and celebrate Indigenous heritage, are being planned for the Kxeen (Prince Rupert) area, with potential locations including the Civic Center, though the final venue is still to be determined (TBD).

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase unique crafts, art, food, or cultural goods, and to be an integral part of the vibrant music, entertainment, and community celebrations. The Ts’msyen Culture Society emphasizes that involvement includes the crucial stages of planning and preparations to ensure the event’s success.

“We’re calling YOU to be part of our vibrant music, entertainment and community celebrations,” the Society stated. “We’re excited and grateful for the opportunity to come together and work collaboratively.”

Those interested in contributing their skills, talents, ideas, or who have questions are encouraged to contact the Ts’msyen Culture Society via email:
