TERRACE, B.C. – Northern Savings Credit Union has named Arabisk Mediterranean Cuisine as its featured “Business of the Month” for October, shining a spotlight on the family-run restaurant with locations in Prince Rupert and a new spot in Terrace.

The recognition celebrates the restaurant’s commitment to community and its mission to showcase the vibrant and diverse flavors of the Middle East. Arabisk is known for its authentic Lebanese and Mediterranean culinary traditions, emphasizing fresh and delicious dishes served with welcoming hospitality.

“We can’t wait to serve the Terrace community and create memorable experiences together. Thank you for welcoming us, and we look forward to being a part of this vibrant community!” stated Founder Obie Zaitouni.

The partnership with Northern Savings is based on a shared commitment to supporting local businesses and enhancing community life. As Zaitouni noted, “Partnering with Northern Savings has been a natural fit as they share our commitment to supporting local businesses and enhancing the community we love.”

    Authentic Flavours and Specialties

Arabisk offers a flavorful array for all diners, featuring time-honored recipes passed down through generations. Head Chef Tehama Al Shamandi is lauded for her passion and skill in blending traditional Lebanese techniques with modern innovation.

The menu includes a vibrant selection of Hot and Cold Mezze—traditional Middle-Eastern dips and appetizers like Hummus and Mouhammara—as well as hearty mains “From the Grill” and casual plates. Diners can indulge in bold flavours of shawarma plates, biryani, steak, burgers, and more, with vegetarian and gluten-free options thoughtfully available.

The new Arabisk Terrace location is situated at 4665 Lazelle Avenue. It is open Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
